Construction started in November of 2014 with Jensen Construction as the Prime Contractor for the IADOT.
Major work included the installation of a solar powered bridge navigation lighting system and warning signs. Due to the rural nature of the bridge over the Missouri River and length of the bridge, utility power was not available. The work was completed off of badges anchor in the river bed and 80’ telescoping boom lifts for the installation of the conduit system tying the solar powered batteries to each of the navigation lights for the center and edge of channel. The work was slow and tedious due to the limited mobility the river necessitated.
